A glimpse of who our DJs are!
I am a four-time Shammy Award winner! (similar to a Grammy, but is self-awarded for excellence in shower singing). My favorite thing about DJ’ing is interacting with such a diverse audience, helping couples create lasting memories, and collaborating with couples on their set to make it fun! Bucket list includes backpacking southern Europe (I’ve already traveled the north), cashing in a World Series of Poker event, safariing in Central Africa, playing a round at Pebble Beach, skydiving over Dubai, and marrying someone who enjoys hamburgers as much as I do.
One of my favorite moments at a wedding was in the summer of 2015. By coincidence I found out I was the DJ for an old friend from high school! It was an amazing night; seeing old faces and DJ’ing a packed dance floor!
Over the past 7 years I have performed club and private events throughout the state of Colorado. During baseball season, you can find me DJing at the rooftop of Coors Field for the Colorado Rockies pregame. When not DJing, I am a song writer, producer, and sound designer. I love helping out with the coordination and hosting of every event. Keeping the flow of an event is just as important to me as a packed dance floor that happens later in the night!
I am the in house DJ for the Colorado Rockies! Anytime you hear any song during a game, that’s me, doing what I do best. My favorite thing about DJing any event is being able to play music that puts people in a great mood!
While I’ll accommodate whatever our clients want for dance floor music, musical preference is different for everyone. I like to try and hit different genres throughout the night so everybody can get up and dance at some point. I also love taking requests from guests because it makes everybody feel like they are a part of the night! The best moment I’ve ever been a part of at a wedding was when, at the end of the night, the bride jumped off a diving board into a pool with her wedding dress still on! It. Was. Awesome!
As a life long learner of music, one of my greatest music moments is when I had the opportunity to play percussion at Carnage Hall in New York City. The best thing about being a DJ/MC is being able to provide a relaxed and fun atmosphere for everyone! Currently my go to dance floor song is “Uptown Funk” – Super fun song that all generations can dance to! My top bucket list item is to spend a month in Italy with my wife This may sound a little sappy, but my favorite moment at weddings are the Father/Daughter dances. You can see how special that moment is for both people. Since I have a little girl, it makes me think about her wedding day and how amazing that experience will be for me.
Something most people don’t know about me is that I’m a lead singer for a variety cover band in Colorado Springs called One Hit Prophets.
One of my favorite things about being an MC is knowing that I am helping create memories for a couple and their families and friends that will be remembered and cherished for years to come!
It just seems to always work, but Yeah! by Usher is still one of those tracks people go crazy for.
What is my #1 Bucket List Item? I’ve already been skydiving but I’d love to try hang gliding, parasailing, and visiting all of our National Monuments.
One of my favorite moments from an event was a wedding reception when the groom and all the groomsmen dressed up like the actors from Michael Jackson’s Thriller video and danced the entire routine… that was AWESOME!
I have always been drawn to music and the atmosphere that it creates for any occasion. I have been DJ’ing for over 10 years. I will tell you that I have a very outgoing personality and a laugh that I’m not sure can be re-created. Ha! I love to assist in the creation of fun, successful events and help behind the scenes to make sure that any event goes off without a hitch. It’s great to see an event come together, and equally as fun to be one of the people to help make it happen. I am a true fan of all styles of music; I love to read the crowd and play your favorite song without you even asking!
I have been a professional DJ for over fifteen years (since my teen years!). With a Music Education degree and live band experience, there’s not much I haven’t done. I have DJ’d weddings and played events all over the country. I have an old school approach to DJ’ing. All mixing, scratching, and beat juggling is performed live on two turntables and a mixer. That being said, I feel like I am on the cutting edge of what being a DJ means today. This includes the ability to perform a full video experience as well. Wrap it all up with a natural sense of how to read a crowd, and that’s what you can expect from a night with me on the decks!
I love being a DJ because it allows me to make someone’s night by the music I play. Music can be uplifting in most situations and is one of the few art forms that crosses all cultural boundaries. I also thoroughly enjoy discovering new artists. MCing gives me the opportunity to really to be me and use my personality. When I think about my favorite dance floor tune it’s hard to narrow it down, but old school hip hop like Digital Underground’s “The Humpty Dance” comes to mind. Currently, my favorite contemporary tracks are Clean Bandit’s “No Place I’d Rather Be” or Calvin Harris’ “Feel So Close”. Outside of DJing, I am a self proclaimed master chef and foodie. I love trying to figure out new ways to make traditional dishes and I’m always willing to explore new dishes and ingredients. I also have a pretty big Green Thumb. I have a bunch of unique plants. I also cultivate air plants and have a decent sized garden.
People would say I live up to my name as I have a huge passion for music. As a musician, DJ, producer, and performer, I feel like I have a great knowledge of all aspects of music. I graduated with a degree in Music and Business Development and have done everything from performing with symphonies and jazz ensembles, to composing and arranging with hip hop and electronic artists. I have performed for weddings and special events since 2009, and making the best day of peoples’ lives is a true commitment I have to every client and event!
One of my favorite things about DJ’ing, and I have many, is that it just makes people happy and brings up different emotions with different songs. It’s a wonderful feeling to help create memories that will stay with guests long after the night is over. .
My go-to song with certain dance floors is Pitbull’s “Hotel Room Service”. That guy just continues to put out great songs that are super fun and upbeat. They always seem to work with a dancing crowd!
One of my favorite moments from an event was at a wedding ceremony where the best man was so tired and disheveled from the prior evening’s bachelor party that he forgot to bring the rings. I’m not sure that the bride was super pleased, though. Ha!
I am a music producer/DJ who started my musical career at the age of five on the piano. Over the years I have grown as an artist and evolved into an electronic musician/DJ and turntablist. I have recently been playing local festivals and I really enjoy playing at some of the top clubs in downtown Denver. One of the things I love most about DJ/MCing is making every event memorable as well as watching everyone genuinely enjoying themselves and the people they are spending it with.
My favorite thing about being a DJ/MC is putting on the right song for the right mood and hearing the crowd cheering “oh that’s my song” or “I love this song” from the dance floor. Then they point at me, we make eye contact and all is right with the world!
My go to song is Uptown Funk when we want to sweat a little, or Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” for when we need to slow it down a bit.
What are my bucket list items? I want to go to Outer Space and see Earth from a different perspective. I also would love to write and perform a stand up comedy bit or perform on SNL. People who do stand up comedy well are incredible and I would love to do it one day.
My favorite moment from a wedding was going to the dance floor and cutting a rug while the whole group was singing “Ignition” in the front lobby with the Bridal Party, Bride, and Groom. So freaking cool!
Something unique about me is that I’m a 3rd degree black belt in Kenpo Karate and a Muay Thai practitioner. I currently hold a 6-1 record in kickboxing! My favorite thing about DJ/MC’ing is that I get to interact with all sorts of different people and every event is always a little bit different, so that makes it fun and continually interesting. Also, seeing that guests are having a great time gives me a sense of accomplishment. I would say my top bucket list item is traveling to Thailand and getting to live and train with the best fighters in the world… or traveling to Pamplona, Spain, to participate in the “Running of the Bulls”.
Food Scientist by day… DJ by night. I love getting to connect with new people, play great music and get people dancing. Dancing is such a powerful social activity; I really enjoy having an integral part of getting people to let loose and dance. One of my favorite dance floor tunes is a mashup of Calvin Harris’ “We Found Love” and Whitney Houston’s “I Just Wanna Dance with Somebody”. It’s such a surprise when the Whitney vocal drops, but it fits the song so well…it always gets the crowd excited. I’ve been so fortunate to be part of so many memorable moments at some of the weddings I’ve done: flash mobs, a group of Storm Troopers, surprise relatives, amazing themes, arcade games, etc. However, one moment that really stands out was a wedding where I did a custom Mash-Up of three songs for a choreographed Father-Daughter Dance. Their dance was so creative and really kicked off the start of dancing in a unique way!
Check out all of the fun!
What Everyone is Talking About!
"Flexibility with these guys is an understatement. They were so easy to work with and wanted to help make it as easy as possible to work with them. Chris, our DJ, did a wonderful job all evening and really kept the party going all night. I would recommend these guys to anyone who is in need of a DJ for a wedding or any other party." - Ally
"Elite DJ was awesome!! Highly recommend them. They came up to Winter Park on a snowy January Day and everything was perfect. We rented drapes and market lights and used them for the music. They kept everyone dancing the entire night! Chris was great with us and the crowd. AWESOME!!!" - Kelly
"I made the BEST decision hiring Elite DJ for my wedding that took place this past weekend. The entire team was extremely professional, responsive and friendly. I loved being able to visit my event details on their website! I could easily make payments, look at my balance, choose desired songs, and put together my event timeline. I also used their services for up-lighting, piping/draping and a GOBO logo. Everything turned out perfectly. Our DJ/MC for the night, Jazz, was fantastic! He followed our time line perfectly and was so wonderful about letting us know what was next on the agenda. He came very well dressed and was extremely professional. He played great music and had everyone on the dance floor! Elite DJ and Production comes highly recommended! Thank you for making our wedding day so very special!" - Kate
