We absolutely love our partners in the event planning business and to say thank you, we did what we know how to do…we threw a party! And what a party it was. Here’s a sneak peek into how we did it.
The Studios at Overland Crossing is a fabulous venue space for anything from a wedding reception to a birthday party or business event. The building was built in 1881 and has been renovated to a state-of-the-art venue with 4,000 square feet of industrial charm. This venue was absolutely perfect for our party because we had plenty of space for the DJ, dance floor, buffet, bar, Photobooth, slow motion video booth, plus several seating areas inside and an outdoor space for gathering.
We wanted to create several unique spaces for people to enjoy the night so that whether you wanted to grab a drink and tear up the dance floor or have a quiet conversation with a friend outside, there was a spot for you to do just that. All Well Rents created this magical outdoor space with a rustic wood paneled partition wall and several firepits made with wine barrels and sparkling glass. We hung strands of bistro lights up above to finish off the look. Inside, we brought our own modular furniture paired with LED lighting in to create lounge areas with a club-like feel.
Footers Catering provided a delicious menu with something for everyone, including several gluten-free items. There was a festive pumpkin coconut curry soup, Thai-braised pulled pork sliders, mustard and herb crusted chicken skewers, and salty soft pretzels that were just to die for. Not to mention the green chili cheese sauce served alongside. Then to finish off the night with a sweet treat, there were delightful mini cupcakes; vanilla with buttercream, chocolate with chocolate ganache and red velvet with a cream cheese frosting.
As usual, Peak Beverage knocked it out of the park with their exceptional staff, top shelf drinks and full bar service. When it comes to your favorite adult beverage, PEAK has it all. All their packages include the alcohol (from their own store) juices, mixers, sodas, water, ice, bar rentals, glassware, champagne toast, tray-passed drinks, staffing, and everything else a bar could need. From creamy chardonnay to a robust old-fashioned, PEAK kept our guests coming back for more all evening long.
Ok, shameless plug. As an entertainment company, we had the DJ part covered. DJ Yan kept the dance floor packed with hits like “This Is What You Came For” and “Can’t Stop the Feeling.” But we also provided the lighting, Photobooth, slow-motion video booth, furniture and décor.
What we did not do, however, is breathe fire or dangle from the ceiling spinning through a hoop. We left that part to Hipster Mama Productions and our guests could not stop talking about how amazing their team of acrobats and performers were. Step aside Cirque du Soleil.
And finally, a party is nothing without the people, so we would like to say a huge thank you, thank you, thank you to all our vendors who came out and were involved. We have the privilege of working with some of the most talented people on the planet and we are so incredibly grateful!
