Whether it’s your boyfriend, fiancé, husband, dad, brother or boss, men are notoriously hard to shop for. So here’s a few of our favorite finds for the men in your life, and they are all local because…
A. At this point, you are running short on time and,
B. We know you love Colorado as much as we do.
1. Anything from Knotty Tie Co.
We absolutely love Knotty Tie Co. because they make the goods right here in Denver and you can customize a necktie, bowtie or pocket square any way you want it. The way the folks at Knotty Tie put it is “No idea is too crazy and no order is too small. Whether you need 1 bowtie or 500 with your cat’s face on them, you can make your idea a reality.” But please don’t put your cat’s face on a tie. You can do better than that. We believe in you.
They also have a tie with avocados on it. We know. We had you at avocado. And they have an amazing American plaid & American gingham tie that we love. It’s been a rough year for America, but these really make it better. Promise.
You can shop online or pop into the store to get your guy this gift. Just make sure to select the “Guaranteed by Christmas Eve” delivery option at check out before December 20th to get your order in tie-me (Sorry, couldn’t resist).

2. Whiskey from Laws Whiskey House
The philosophy at Laws is “Craft over commodity. Quality over quantity. Whiskey above all.” Laws, we love everything you’re saying. And everything you’re doing. Every step of production is carried out here in the Denver distillery.
Depending on your budget and guy, you have gift options galore here. If this is your boyfriend/husband, take him on a tour/tasting for $10 and you get a $10 credit towards any purchase. Or, for $10, take him to Flight Night on Thursdays from 5-9 pm, and taste three half-ounce pours together.
For the experienced whiskey lover in your life, Laws is the only distillery in the state to have a bottled in bond bourbon. You can get a mini bottle of the Four Grain Bourbon for $35, and a full bottle for $80. If you want your whole house to smell like their Secale Rye, Laws has a candle made specifically for them by a local candlemaker, and you can pick that up for $24.

3. Handmade Cigars from Palma Cigar Company
We keep thinking we’re going to run into Tom Selleck here one of these days. It hasn’t happened yet, but hey, if the day comes, we’re ready. Palma Cigar Company is a place for the man’s man. They roll, pack, sell and ship their own cigars, and they are completely dedicated to the craft.
Known for being Colorado’s only spot that rolls their own cigars by hand, they also have their very own line of Dominican Republic cigars, and you can buy them one at a time, boxed or bundled. Clay Carlton is the master cigar roller there, and with 15 years of experience, he is certainly the man for the job. “I make a cigar for every taste,” says Clay, so you can be sure whatever you choose will not disappoint. Depending on the size, each cigar will run you between $10-12.50, and for $5, you can buy a pretty cool cigar box and fill it not only with a few of those hand-rolled gems, but they also have all the accessories you need. Travel cases, humidors, lighters, combination lighter with cutter, ash trays and more.
Plus, they have a full bar and lounge, so it’s a great spot to grab a drink with a friend before you pick out some goodies to take home. It’s like gift shopping meets happy hour.

4. Chocolate from Cultura Craft Chocolate
Formerly known as Dead Dog Chocolate, Cultura is the joint endeavor of two chocolate makers who are passionate about their art of making the finest chocolate, from bean to bar. For the purist, they have dark chocolate bars (70-85% cacao) from Guatemala, Belize and Haiti. Small bars are $4.50, and a large one will run you $8. If you are already getting your guy a bottle of the good stuff from Laws, we say throw in one of the whiskey & nib bars from Cultura and call it a day. Dark chocolate infused with Deerhammer single malt whiskey and garnished with whiskey-soaked cacao nibs.
If you’re feeling festive, they have a tasty 70% peppermint & nibs, and 70% Mexican spice & nibs, which is dark chocolate infused with Guajillo chile, Ceylon cinnamon and garnished with toasted almonds. Finally, for the coffee lover, and maybe a little less on the dark side, Cultura has a 55% espresso and sea salt bark, dark milk chocolate sprinkled with an espresso and sea salt brittle. Yum.
The last day to order online and get your treats in time for Christmas is December 18, or you can find Cultura chocolates inside the Art Gym Café.
